Stretching Seminar
Hello Salt Lakers,
I am holding a stretching seminar on Monday at 6 p.m. at BodyWise Fitness. Come stretch out those aches and pains with me!
The Secrets of Stretching Seminar
*Do you feel "all bound up" and can't quite figure out how to loosen up?
*Do you believe you should stretch, but you aren't sure how?
*Did you know there is a difference between the way you should stretch before working out and before an athletic event such as playing golf, running or cycling?
*Did you know many common muscle pains such as headaches, tingling in the fingers, knee pains, etc., can be eliminated with a proper stretching program?
*If you think of your body as a bicycle wheel, do you know which "spokes" (i.e. muscles) you should tighten and which should be loosened so you can roll easily through life?
If you want to know the answers to these questions, join CHEK Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach Lya Wodraska for a seminar on Monday, March 12 at 6 p.m.
*Come with aches and pains and leave with stretches and exercises to alleviate the symptoms
*Learn how proper stretches can help your golf game, make you a better cyclist or runner or correct your posture
*Learn how exercise routines, work habits, breathing and thinking can make some muscles tight and loosen others
The Nitty Gritty
*Cost is $10 per person
*Seminar is Monday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at Body Wise Fitness (1400 Foothill Drive)
*Seminar will include an informational presentation as well as a Q&A section and demonstration of stretches
Contact Lya to sign up or for more information at (801) 631-0995 or Lya@coremattersslc.com

Secrets of a good broth
To help my senior foster cat recover from some nasty infections, I made her a fish broth. My house still smells like a fish market, but she is feeling better. Here is a great article on the power of broths.
If you are interested in making your own, check out Sally Fallon's recipes. Just note, if you are making them for your pets I recommend going plain with them, just water and bones. Cats in particular don't do well with onions!

Farm-raised shrimp devastating ecological systems
Good reminder here for all the shrimp lovers, it is just as important to read labels on the origin of your seafood as it is anything else. If it isn't labeled, ask and make sure you are getting wild shrimp from the U.S., not farm raised.

What super foods have you tried?
Oprah has her 'superfood' list out, I've tried everything but Jerusalem artichokes, guess I need to put them on my dinner list for this week!
