Winter Spice smoothie
Want a smoothie appropriate for winter? try this one:
Winter Spice Smoothie
(Serves 1)
If you use your imagination, this is almost like a healthy-tasting eggnog! The spices are all the favorites of winter and are extremely good for you since they all have high levels of antioxidants. Adjust spices to suit your taste.
2 cups almond milk
1 Tbsp. almond butter
1 scoop of protein powder
1 date, pitted
1 scoop chia seeds
1/2 Tsp. vanilla powder (or extract)
1/2 Tsp. nutmeg
1/2 Tsp. cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. cloves
Pinch of sea salt
1/2 Tsp maca (optional)
Directions: Blend everything together, adjusting to taste and the amount of milk to reach desired consistency.
